These frames were for my mom’s house. She had some beautiful work from one of her relatives and she wanted to display it in her house. These are made with Maple and the splines are Purpleheart. The splines reinforce the glue joint where the maple miters come together. The Purpleheart came out of her father’s wood shop and she loves that her son wants to continue in the craft.
